The Northern Knights robotics team brings together students from Loyola and Sacred Heart high schools, to build a robot and compete in the FIRST Robotics Competition, an international high school robotics league with over 7,000 registered teams.
The team is gearing up to complete their robot for an upcoming competition in Quebec City from April 3 – 6. The competition officially kicked-off on January 5, and they have been designing and building ever since. So far over 1,400 student-hours have gone into the robot this season!
According to competition rules, teams have to cease building their robots by February 19. To stay at the top of their game during the six weeks until the competition, the Northern Knights are building an exact replica of their competition robot so that they can continue to perfect design and practice driving.
Best of luck to the team in Quebec City!
The upcoming competition will take place in Quebec City from April 3rd to 6th at the Centre de foires (250 Wilfrid-Hamel Blvd, Quebec City).
