Secondary 1 (Cycle One - Year One) Admissions Process
For students entering Secondary 1 (Cycle One-Year One), the admissions process (i.e. sending in an application, coming for an interview, writing an entrance exam) takes place in the fall (September/October) when the students are in Grade 6 (Cycle Three-Second Year).

IMPORTANT NOTE: For Secondary 1 (Cycle One-Year One), Loyola High School accepts 150 students. Loyola receives two to three times that number of applications. Please keep this in mind when planning your son’s applications to other schools.
OVERALL VIEW OF THE ADMISSIONS PROCESS - SECONDARY 1 (CYCLE ONE-YEAR ONE)
- Secondary 1 (Cycle One-Year One) Applicant MUST be eligible for English School - English Eligibility
- Visit the Open House
- Obtain an Application Package
- Complete Application Form and return with required documents by Application Deadline
- Come for scheduled Interview
- Come to Information Session (parents and applicants)
- Write Entrance Exam
- Ensure reference letters etc. have been received by Loyola by the end of October
- Wait for Decision Letters to be mailed - End of November/Beginning of December
- YES/NO/WAITING LIST
- If "Yes", complete and return Registration Form and $200.00 non-refundable deposit
- * Original Birth and Eligibility Certificates need to be seen at this time *
- If "Waiting List", advise if your son wishes to remain on this list and continue sending in up-to-date report cards
