LHS Alumni Award
The Loyola High School Alumni Association has established a "Post-Secondary Award" of up to $1,000 to be presented each year to a graduate of the school who is involved in a program that exemplifies Loyola's "Men-for-Others" philosophy - in other words, in a program that requires a "dedicated commitment" in the service of others. This could be as a participant in an international development or missionary project in a third world country, or in a program designed to help the needy or a position with an NGO (non governmental organization) and so on. The applicant will be required to fill out an application form. Upon completion of the program, the applicant will be asked to write a synopsis of his experience (this would probably be published in Loyola Today).
An application form may be obtained by contacting Bob Shaughnessy at
. It must be returned by April the first. Please note that this Bursary will be given to a different student each year. Good luck to all.

Appreciation Night 2012
On Thursday, April the 19th, from 5:30 to 9pm, the Loyola High School Alumni Association hosted its Annual Appreciation Night to thank Alumni and Associates who have helped out at various Alumni functions over the course of the last year (including CSP events, Beer Bash, Golf Tournaments, Alumni Reunions and the like). Again this year, this happy gathering of the clan took place in that ever popular John Molson Room at the Molson's Brewery. A light supper was served along with that elixir of the gods, freshly brewed beer. Those of you that were unable to attend, we extend our thank-you for helping the Alumni Association be a viable and functional component of the life of the school. We look forward to seeing you all again next year.
