Daily Events

  • Ed Meagher Sports Tournament
  • All ads for the tournament program are due TOMORROW, December 14th. Payment and artwork for the ads can be brought to Mr. Burns in the Development Office.
  • Lessons and Carols
  • All students, staff and faculty are cordially invited to attend the Lessons and Carols taking place this Friday, during Period 4, in the Auditorium. Current students and alumni will be leading the proceedings, which will consist of songs, readings from scripture and a reflection on the true meaning of Christmas.
  • Hot Dog Sale TOMORROW
  • We have 600 hot dogs that must go-go-go! Come to tomorrow's hot dog sale in the Atrium. Hot dogs will be going for the low-low-low price of one dollar each. Or enjoy our special of two hot dogs + a bag of chips for $2.50!
  • Online Auction
  • A generous Loyola family has organized an online auction with some truly incredible prizes, with all proceeds going to support Mr. Sean Ryan and his family. If you are interested, the website address is mycause.bid and the name of the auction is Ryan.
  • 5-A Smash Bros. Tournament
  • 5-A will be holding a Super Smash Bros. tournament starting next Monday at Lunch in 2nd floor Media Center. Cost of entry is $5 with all funds going to the Christmas Drive. Monday and Tuesday will be 4-player round robins. The top 2 winners of each round qualify for the tournament. Losers can enter again to qualify. The winners of the tournament rounds on Wednesday could win a Nintendo eShop or Steam gift certificate or Amiibo prizes. Priority will be given to those who sign-up by e-mail, but walk-ins are welcome!

Sports Announcements

  • Wrestling
  • The Wrestling Team will attempt to stay undefeated and in first place of the GMAA as they go on the road and take on Vincent-Massey today at 3:45 p.m. Wrestlers will be dismissed after Period 5, and the bus leaves at 2:20 p.m.
  • Intramural Hockey (IHL)
  • There has been a change to the schedule for this Saturday's Ball hockey games: Group #1 will now start at 8:15 a.m. Group #2 NOW STARTS at 9:30 a.m. Please note that there will be NO GAME for Group #3. The games will be played in the Gym. Players are required to bring a helmet, gloves and stick. Please let Mr. Santillo know by Thursday if you CAN NOT make your game. GOALIES STILL NEEDED FOR GROUP #2 @ 9:30 a.m., if you are interested please see Mr. Santillo.
  • Secondary 1 Inter-class
  • Secondary I Inter-class basketball action today has 1D vs 1B. Students are asked to meet in the Gym ready to go at 12:15 p.m. Sports managers are reminded to make 5 even strength basketball teams.
  • Secondary II Inter-class
  • The Secondary II Inter-class Match of the Day, features 2D versus 2F. Please meet in the North Gym for 12:20 p.m.
  • Bantam Basketball
  • The Bantam Braves played a thriller versus Selwyn House yesterday. Unfortunately, they lost in overtime 60-57. There will be a brief team meeting today at the beginning of Lunch in Room 153. Their next game will be played tomorrow at home, in the North Gym, versus the John Rennie Wildcats. Go Braves!!
